Dental implants

A missing tooth’s root replaced with a titanium post, with a crown on top. Planned after a check-up and X-ray.

Visits
Several visits over two to six months
Each visit
60 min

This is planned after a check-up; to start, book a check-up and consultation.

What happens

  1. An X-ray shows whether there is enough healthy bone.

  2. The post is placed under local anaesthetic and given a few months to fuse with the bone; then the crown is made.

Afterwards

  1. On the first day use an ice pack on your cheek and don’t chew on that side.

  2. Smoking puts the implant’s healing at risk; avoid it as much as you can.

  3. Brush and floss around the implant every day, like a natural tooth.
