I have a toothache
Until you’re seen, these help. This page can’t diagnose; the cause needs the tooth to be examined.

Rinse your mouth with warm salty water.
If food is stuck, remove it gently with floss.
For swelling, hold a cold compress on the cheek for 15 minutes.
Take a painkiller only as directed on the pack; never put a tablet on the gum.
Avoid very hot, very cold or sugary food and drink.
Knocked-out tooth
If a permanent tooth is knocked out: hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse for a few seconds only if dirty, keep it in milk and get to a dentist within an hour; if the clinic is closed, go to an emergency dental service.
