What happens
Your gums are covered with a protective layer and whitening gel is applied to the teeth.
Fillings and crowns don’t whiten; if you have them on your front teeth, this is talked through before starting.
Afterwards
For 48 hours, skip tea, coffee, cola, smoking and strongly coloured food.
Sensitivity to cold for a day or two is normal; a sensitive toothpaste helps.
